Well, it has been almost another year since I have written anything. Katie is finally sleeping better. She has been mostly or completely sleeping through the night for about 3 weeks now. It has been really nice but Laurie and I still have not completely recovered. Nicholas is just about done with Pre-School and Sabrina is a couple months off being done with 2nd grade. Oh, and now I feel old too. It's amazing how much enjoyment there is in a life when you are so tired. I am totally and completely in love with my dear, sweet wife. I am more grateful for her everyday. . I am also thrilled with being a dad. It is more wonderful and wearing than I would have ever guessed. Work is still work and I really enjoy the people with whom I work. Not a lot to tell but I am going to try to do better about blogging. I hope it will help me be more grateful and mindful of the day to day miracles.

And time just keeps flying
Well, life is never dull. Always tiring but never dull. Since the last post we have added a daughter to our family and she is happy most of the time. Katie is the same at sleeping as her siblings so we are looking forward to her 1 year birthday and the hopeful changes that will come.

Interesting Day
Well, today Sabrina has 2 teeth removed at the dentist. I didn't sleep well all night since I was worried about how things would go for her. Things went great, since she didn't feel a thing. Uncle Kevin does a great job. I also went to the doctor to evaluate my cholesterol screening. Diet and excercise is the regimen. Start with 20 min of cardio, 3-5 days a week and work up to 40 minutes. Also, trim as much saturated fat as possible from the diet. On top of that, I need to cut my calories down to 2100 a day to begin with. I hope this is easier than it sounds. It's at least pretty important. After all that I have to do a Documentum migration tonight. Hope it doesn't take as long as it could.

Time just flies
Well, this month has just flown by. I have been working on some side projects and that has definately added stress to my life. We have also been trying to get started Christmas shopping. Other than a few DVDs, no luck so far. I hope to have more time soon to just relax with my kids and wife. Fun or not, time just flies.

Things never slow down
Today we are headed to see my parents. Before we actually begin the trek to Idaho Falls however, I have a computer problem to fix, apples to buy, a stop-off in Draper at the Factory Outlets and some yard work to do for my father-in-law. Things just never slow down

My very first post just disappeared into oblivion
Well, I had posted something just prior to the trees post and it appears to no longer exist. Funny how things work. I thought it was kind of dumb and meaningless anyway. Guess I was right
Down the trees fall
We have lived (rented) in our home for almost 7 1/2 years now and today all of the shade trees were cut down. There were 3 40+ foot walnut trees ( I will never have a walnut tree in my own yard) and 1 Ash tree ( I will absolutely, positively NEVER have an ash tree within miles of my own house). We sure loved the shade though and hated the leaves and walnuts. The house is going to look completely different without them. Uncle Mark said that they were going to plant some better shade trees in their place. I know that Laurie has hated all the leaves and walnuts as much as I have but I know she is really going to miss the trees. I guess trees always make a sound when they fall.
